About Department

MREC has introduced a four-year B.Tech.CSE – Cyber Security (CS) from the academic year 2020-21.

The B.Tech program in CSE (Cyber Security) is intended to mould students into well prepared Cyber Security professionals and has been designed with a good balance between theoretical & practical aspects, analytical and architectural methods complemented by academic research and industry best practices.

Most organisations and businesses rely on various types of information technology solutions, such as e-commerce, e-governance, e-learning, and e-banking, in today's networked world.

Because the information saved and delivered is ultimately an invaluable company resource, all communications must be safe and under control. The most difficult task for system enterprise is securing essential resources and information in the network. The increasing frequency of computer network (internet/intranet) attacks, as well as the sophistication of attack technologies, have made this task even more difficult.

Through this program student acquire necessary theoretical background, insights into general and technical aspects of Cyber Security, a good understanding of analytical methods and management practices in the field of Cyber Security.
